Sons of Librino

Catania Ring is a small boxing gym in Librino, a poor suburb in Catania. It has become a reference for young people in the suburb in the last ten years. Ex boxer Aroldo Donini runs the gym with his family and some friends. Even though they have been facing a lot of financial problems and they have had no help from institutions, the athletes trained by Donini and his partners have always had good performances and results in national competitions. If they have performed so well, it is also thanks to the support of many Catania people who are fond of boxing and also think sport is one of the best antidotes to prevent violence and organized crime.
